Accomplish (formerly Openwork) ​

Accomplish is an open-source, local-first AI desktop agent that automates file management, document creation, and browser tasks directly on your machine. It was originally launched as Openwork, then rebranded to Accomplish, and the product is now distributed under the name Coworker via the accomplish-ai/coworker GitHub repository.

What it does ​

Coworker (the current shipping name) runs locally on your machine as an Electron desktop app. You connect your own AI provider API key or point it at a local model via Ollama. Once connected, you give it access to chosen folders and then prompt it to:

  • Sort, rename, and move files by content or rules
  • Draft, summarize, and rewrite documents, reports, and meeting notes
  • Automate browser workflows such as research and form entry
  • Define repeatable custom skills (saved workflows)
  • Generate weekly updates from files and notes

Every action requires your explicit approval before it executes. Nothing is sent to Accomplish servers; your API calls go directly to your chosen AI provider and your files stay on device.

Free and open source under the MIT license. Users supply their own API keys or run local models at no cost. There is no subscription, no upsell, and no Accomplish-tier paid plan.
